Teach For Change is a nation wide movement to improve literacy and life skills among primary school children studying in government schools . The movement works in collaboration with state governments to develop literacy skills and a habit of reading among primary school children and support them with relevant life skills. The Teach For Change movement is aimed towards achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (Goal 4-Quality Education) . As part of the movement committed citizens contribute their time and volunteer to teach children in their neighborhood Government school.
The Teach For Change Trust runs four programs across the country to ensure every child has access to quality education regardless of their family’s income or social status. The programs aim to strengthen the government schools in India which cater to the education of the poorest and the most vulnerable communities.
